Hailing from Saginaw, Michigan, Todd gained notoriety as a powerful metal singer through performances and recordings with the band Harlet in the late 1980's and early 1990's. After a break from music for a few years, Todd started singing for Jack Starr's Burning Starr in 2004 and has since released two albums, Defiance (2009) and Land of the Dead (2011). A third album, Stand Your Ground, is slated to be released in 2017.

In 2010, Todd formed a new band called Reverence along with his writing partner, Bryan Holland. Reverence's first album, When Darkness Calls, was released in May of 2012. A follow up album, Gods of War, was released in November of 2015.

In the November of 2013, Todd was announced as the new singer for Riot V, with his first live shows taking place in February of 2013. Since then, Todd has played numerous shows all around the world in support of his first release with Riot V, Unleash The Fire, which came out in October of 2014. Todd is currently working with Riot V on a second album to released in 2017.
